Year Football Program and Academics

UEFA Licensed Coaching


RIFA delivers professional football training led by UEFA licensed coaches. The program includes 16 hours of football training per week, aiming to develop skills, tactics, and physical conditioning. Students receive personalized feedback to enhance their performance.

Training Focus


Sessions concentrate on essential football skills, team play, and individual fitness. Coaches individualize feedback to address each player's strengths and improvement areas.


Students benefit from world-class training at the Manchester City Academy facilities. They experience a professional football environment and have access to various extracurricular activities, including a visit to St George’s Park.

All participants receive branded Adidas uniforms.

RIFA organizes weekly practice matches and tournaments, providing students with platforms to apply their skills in competitive settings.

Training Facilities. 
Rishworth School offers high-quality on-site training amenities tailored to support football development. Additionally, some training takes place at Manchester City Academy, ensuring exposure to a professional setting.

Termly Assessments. 
Students undergo termly reviews with the Director of Football, allowing for comprehensive feedback on technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and social development. These reviews lead to personalized development plans.
