Elite Golf Academy at Oswestry School

Participants: boys and girls 10-16 years old.

We are delighted to offer this Golf Academy at the prestigious Epsom Golf Club which is immediately adjacent to Epsom College meaning no transport is involved. The club has a great history of developing Junior golfers, and holds top level awards from the golfing bodies for its continued successes.

The golf camp will combine lessons with the clubs team of PGA Professionals, covering every aspect of the game and includes sessions using the clubs swing analysis studio. Students will get to visit the driving range to put the lessons into practice, spend plenty of time playing on the course (green fees included) and, where possible, take part in a tournament at the end of the week with prizes.

THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS (indeed all students should have handicap certificates). STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN CLUBS & GOLF SHOES AS WELL AS APPROPRIATE DRESS.

They must also be prepared for all weathers! Students may need to dress for summer, but also adapt for days where it may rain, or become colder than normal)

Accommodation at Oswestry School

Living arrangements at Oswestry School are thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and welcoming home away from home. The accommodation is spread across four houses: School House, Guinevere, Holbache, and Spooner Cottage. Each house features cozy lounge areas complete with TVs, kitchens, and full WiFi connectivity, creating a perfect blend of communal and private spaces.

Rooms vary from single, twin, and triple setups to more communal dorms that accommodate up to four younger students, ensuring that every student's needs are met. With plentiful bathroom facilities and situated close to educational buildings and other amenities, these residences make daily life convenient and enjoyable.

The Participants

This golf camp is open to boys and girls between 10 and 16 years from all over the world, including Great Britain.

We welcome individuals as well as organised groups/teams to the truly international environment and pro golf training that the Academy offers.

Please note that Elite Golf Academy is NOT suitable for those who are at a very basic level.

ACCOMMODATION

Very recently refurbished, rooms are of a good standard and consist of a mixture of single, doubles and a few triples. Rooms are spacious, airy, nicely decorated and comfortable and there are plenty of showers toilet facilities near to each room. Note we cannot guarantee specific rooms for any student in advance.

EVENINGS

A structured evening programme is offered, organised by our Director of Activities and supported by other staff, and will include such activities as discos, barbeques, film shows, sports and games.

STAFFING & PASTORAL CARE

In addition to our top quality coaching staff, we have our own staff on site 24 hours a day.

A Programme Director will oversee all aspects of the golf camp and they are in constant liaison with the coaches, the school representatives, caterers, group leaders and the students themselves during the golf training sessions and beyond.

All staff are chosen for their ability to work with children and look after their various needs. They are aware that students are away from home, some of them for the first time and pastoral care is a major priority.

ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Elite Golf Academy have qualified teachers on site. We offer an optional TEFL course (this must be pre-booked). 12 hours tuition per week is offered and children will be taught according to ability with emphasis placed on conversation and communication.

FOOD

Epsom has an exceptional reputation for high quality food in its excellent dining room. Emphasis is placed on a good dietary balance as well as popular food allowing for different cultural tastes. There are three meals provided each day with traditional English as well as continental breakfasts; lunch and dinner with hot/cold options, a vegetarian choice as well as a salad bar.

CANCELLATION

Should a client have to cancel a booking at our golf camp, it must be done in writing and, once received by us, we will acknowledge this in writing within three working days of receiving the client notification. Cancellation charges are payable as follows: More than 4 weeks before commencement date – Loss of deposit
; 3-4 weeks before commencement date – -60% of holiday cost will be charged
; 2-3 weeks before commencement date – 85% of holiday cost will be charged
; Less than 2 weeks before commencement date – 100% of holiday cost will be charged.
