TALENT ID Soccer Summer Camp
EduKick pro football academy presents a summer Talent ID football camp in Manchester, England. It is designed for athletes who do not just want to experience a traditional football camp but also wish to immerse themselves in the environment of the professional club or academy. In particular, a number of our students so like their staying that they sign up later to EduKick long-term soccer programs (which usually start from September/October) so as to advance their professional career.
We are selective in choosing participants for the Talent ID soccer camp. In particular, players should apply and attach the following:
- Coach reference
- Soccer cv
- Video of match play (if available)
- Compulsory Pre-Course Skype Interview with Player & Parent
EduKick Manchester Football Camp includes:
- 10 x 60 mins professional football training
- Competitive match play
- Homestay (compulsory for 16-17 years) or residential (Tramways) self-catering accommodation (18+ only)
- Full player technical assessment midweek of Week 2.
- A 1:1 tutorial to discuss player potential and academic pathways
- Visit to National Football Museum – Trophy Holding Selfie + Penalty Shoot Out – extras included
- Visit to Abbey College – tour of school and presentation
- An introduction to U.S. soccer scholarships and membership of “University Search” – completion of an individual soccer resume’ – a digital presentation “the explainer” (every player gets 1 year membership – Unlimited SAT and ACT testing – 5,800 US university + 99 Canadian male & female soccer programs)
- Full branded kit package; to include the following: 1 track suit, 2 training kits, 1 polo shirt
- Saturday guided cultural excursions – Liverpool, Chester, York, Lake District, etc.
- Airport transfers
- GuardMe Student Insurance
- Match Video – competitive match video. Link provided to all participating players
- Media Training – Player video presentation – techniques & tips, results in an individual player video
NOT INCLUDED IN COURSE FEES:
- Airline tickets to/from Manchester International Airport
- Local travel – return transport between the accommodation of your choice and EduKick Manchester School site. Manchester has an excellent public rail, bus and tram network. The main transport hub is a 5 minute walk from our School site.
- Lunch (if you choose host family accommodation you receive Breakfast and evening meal)
- Breakfast, Lunch & evening meal (if you are 18 and choose Independent student living)
Pro training sessions are focused and tailored to develop each player both individually and all players collectively as a team technically and tactically targeting competitive fixtures. In the initial weeks of a program players will be tested and given feedback on areas for improvement. These tests will be repeated with targets set for each player on a regular basis.
Regular competitive friendly games against a variety of levels of opponent from local colleges to professional academies
Games will be scheduled based upon the football camp squad’s ability level to allow them to put into practice what they have worked on during the daily training sessions. Past examples of fixtures played are against Preston North End, Accrington Stanley, Bury FC, Manchester United Foundation team, Manchester City Shadow squad, Curzon Ashton, Barrow FC, Altringham FC along with many colleges and visiting touring teams in the Manchester area.
Guest coaching sessions with professional football clubs/coaches in the northwest giving you an opportunity to showcase your talent
During this soccer camp, we invite ex-professional players, current club coaches and highly experienced coaches from the UK to our training ground to conduct pro training sessions. These are a great opportunity to see first-hand how the professional club coaches work and what they expect. Previous guest coaches include coaches from Blackburn Rovers, Burnley FC, ex-players from Preston, Manchester city and Manchester United along with current players and coaches from a variety of clubs.
1st Term: Arrive Sunday 28 June – Depart Sunday 12 July 2020 (2 weeks)
2nd Term: Arrive Sunday 12 July – Depart Sunday 26 July 2020 (2 weeks)
3rd Term: Arrive Sunday 26 July - Depart Sunday 9 August, 2020 (2 weeks)
4th Term: Arrive Sunday 9 August - depart Sunday 23 August 2020 (2 weeks)
Two weeks: $1,990
The athlete may register for 2 or more Terms if he/she wishes to.
